The Russian group of companies FRAGAREA specialize in the shock freezing of berries, fruits and vegetables grown on own berry plantations of Fragarea LLC and the agricultural company Yagodnie Polya LLC.

The fact is that the share of imports of wild berries such as blueberries and lingonberries to Norway is about 1 000 tons per year. At a total cost, for products over 3 000 000 EUR (Data taken from the portal  Trademap.com for 2020), these berries are imported to Norway from European countries, which in turn are imported from Russia and Belarus at a lower price.

The Fragarea production is located in the Lipetsk region surrounded by our own berry plantations with an area of 300 hectares, near the village of Poddubrovka. The enterprise was designed and built with the participation of foreign specialists. Modern equipment allows for optical cleaning of berries in accordance with the most stringent quality requirements. The enterprise has been audited and certified by FSSC 22000, the agricultural company operates according to the international standards of Global Gap.

In addition to the products that Fragarea grows itself for subsequent freezing at its plant, farmers united in an Agrocooperation grow part of the volume of raw materials for Fragarea. All incoming raw materials are regularly checked for a number of necessary parameters in Fragarea’s own laboratory located at the factory. The laboratory also conducts an independent analysis of the finished products for compliance with the quality requirements.

Despite the fact that Fragarea has been working for only 3 years, they already supply their products to the largest international consumers in Russia, and they have also made deliveries to Austria, Poland, Mongolia, and Italy. This season they would like to offer more volumes for export and would be happy to find some partners in Norway.
