The volume of purchases made by the largest companies from small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in 2020 reached 3.2 trillion rubles, while the range of purchases exceeded 460 thousand items, as reported by the SME Corporation’s press service.

On Wednesday, the Corporation representatives took part in summing up the results of the annual analytical project named “National Procurement Transparency Rating 2020”.

The study identified the top 10 corporations to support SMEs among the major customers which are the Russian Railways (RZD), Rostelecom, Inter RAO, VEB.RF, Rostech, Rosseti, Avtodor, Rosneft, Rosselkhozbank, and Rosatom.

 

Thus, the current crisis pushed the businesses to be more active in the procurement market and look for additional sources of efficiency gains to offer more competitive prices.
